I never heard back from the person offering to pay me to work on their message board, but that’s okay. The Lord has tremendously blessed, though: I have managed to redo Ryan’s entire site, and Shawn has offered to let me convert his site over to a WordPress content management solution. I’m enjoying it, and so far things are going swimmingly, whatever that means.
And yes, I’m doing these things for free. A ministry cannot be done in love if it is done for a fee; I truly believe that. So if you have a ministry and want to work on your web presence, drop me a line. I can’t promise super fancy graphics or other needless things, but I can help you get the important things (like content, accessibility, etc.) working well.
