The speciation, mutation, and diversification that occurs is supposed to trump Creationism, but anyone with a working knowledge of the Bible will realize that these things are not at all inconsistent within the biblical framework.
Call me when a human gives birth to a flying spaghetti monster or when a fish gives birth to a horny toad. Actually, I’d be interested in hearing about any form of beneficial increase in genetic information, though from what I understand anytime extra information is present, negative birth defects occur. And most mutations are simple re-arrangements of information that is already present (this is true of speciation as well), and any refining of that information is actually a loss of information and not an increase.
