The Source of Truth

What is the source of truth? Is it the Holy Scriptures, which testify of Jesus Christ who is the Truth? Not so, according to the church sign of the First Baptist Church a block away from our house. According to it, “a book” and “a baby” are the source of “the source of truth.”

First Baptist Church Sign as of December 10, 2006What is the source of truth which comes forth?
What is the truth which comes from whatever is coming forth?
What is the book?
Who is the baby?
Why should I care?
Why should unbelievers care?

Pastors, if your churches must have a church sign, make sure they make sense and proclaim clear, concise truth that is accessible to all those who see it. Otherwise, you may be casting pearls before swine, insulting the intelligence of believers, and so on.

And your church’s sign could end up on the World Wide Web for all to see. :)
