A few weeks ago, I saw an image online of a nebula (which I’m presuming was taken with the HST). The interesting thing about this nebula was that it was shaped like a cross, and the clouds among the cross formed a very distinct shape, that of a man’s silhouette.
I remember being awestruck at the image as the heavens declared before me not only the glory but the sacrifice of God.
I should have bookmarked it. But now I can’t find it. It isn’t in any Hubble image archives I can find. It isn’t on NASA‘s image of the day site. It isn’t on the Wikipedia’s image of the day archives.
I’ve searched Google, Google Images, Google Blog Search, Google News, WorldNetDaily, and Answers in Genesis for any mention of this image, and I can find none.
The image was nothing short of amazing, as far as I’m concerned, and I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong in trying to find the image.
Surely they (whoever “they” were when I found the image!) wouldn’t have posted it and then removed it. What is there to hide? Nothing wrong with the heavens undeniable screaming out the sacrafice of the Crucifixion, after all.
So, I’m either imagining that I saw this image, it exists and I just can’t find it, or it exists and it has been pulled offline.
Do any of you know what image I’m talking about? I found many “cross” nebulae images, but none which had the silhouette of a man on it.
Whirlpool Galaxy, M51 nebula.
