Impossible Puzzles, Coming Soon to a Store Near You

I noticed a bit ago at work that some Walmarts will start carrying “impossible” jigsaw puzzles. What makes them so difficult? Well, for one there are five extra pieces in the box. That’s right, if you’re not careful, you could spend tons of time trying to find the location for a piece which truly has no home. Second, the puzzle has no edge pieces — even the perimeter of the puzzle has a jigsaw design. No longer can you sit down and put together the perimeter first to work inward. I love this idea — it’s so diabolical! Too bad my store doesn’t appear to be one of those which will be carrying these puzzles. Test your mettle against Impossibles!.

These seem like they’d be a great exercise in patience & concentration!
